Presidential Candidate

                                                                      Patrick Queen

On March 3rd, 1976, Margaret and Joe Queen gave birth to Patrick Queen. Throughout most of his life, Patrick has been a very nice, caring, and a responsible member of the Albany community, volunteering himself to do whatever he can to make Albany a better place to live. Although he was a very outgoing person, there was a secret that Patrick kept for 14 years from everybody, a secret that he knew that once it would become known, it would change the way people thought of him.
At the age of 14, Patrick went to his friends and family and told them that he was gay. The news hit hard on everyone, especially his father who was very religious and believed that his son has committed a sin for being this way. The only person in Patrick's life who didn't think it was a big deal was his only brother, David. David always reminded Patrick that he shouldn't be ashamed of who he is. David has always been Patrick's hero.
Throughout high school, Patrick has been harassed and assaulted numerous times because of his sexuality. He made a promise that one day, he was going to make a change in the way people say gay people, and that it's not a big deal, were all human.
In 1995, Patrick left Albany and went to college for 4 years at Michigan state, earning his Bachelors degree. In 2006, Patrick Queen won the election for governor of the state of Michigan. As of now, he is still currently in office. He is running for president of the United states because he knows what our government is like from experience, and its time to change things for the better of our Nation, for our People.
Patrick has made Michigan a better place to live, Making communities closer and accepting to all genders, sexualities, races, handicapped, Everyone. He wants our country to be the same way. Patrick says “It's time to make a change for a better, yesterday may have been dark, but tomorrow will be bright. America past is discrimination, but it will not be the future!”
