History

The Common American Party "The party created for anyone and everyone". It was founded by James and Abigail Romes in the year 1972. This party was started with the basic dream, give each American what they want and what will most benefit us as a whole. This dream has been blossoming into reality for thirty-eight years, and will continue to do so for generations to come.

James and Abigail Romes started this program a year after a heart shattering event changed their lives forever. Their seventeen year old son was walking home from school and was taken on the street and beaten to death. The reason: his sexuality. The Romes vowed to make a change, not just for their son but to help anyone who is a minority or looked on as an outcast in our society. They strive to give them a voice, to help our country interact as one, and so The Common American Party was born. To this day they have fought to push bills, have attended debates, put on fundraisers, and held speeches all over the country. The Common American Party and all involved in it, won't rest until the dreams of America become realities, and dreams never cease.
